Hunden i Centrum 17.3 - 31.3 2007
An exhibition about changes and hierarchies.
The artist Malin Schønbeck has created this exhibition, in collaboration with students from the Municipal High School Program IVIK, students which have all recently taken up residence in Sweden. "Hunden i Centrum" (The Dog in the Centre) is part of octava's multicultural project "Vanans Makt" (The Power of Habit).
The exhibition deals with the issue of multiculturalism, but it's also about sculpture and the joy
of working together in the production of a "real" art exhibition, which is communal and at the
same
time deeply personal for some of the students.
"Hunden i Centrum" will be open between March 17 and March 31.
The location is Konstkur, in
Gamlegården Shopping Centre, Kristianstad.
Opening hours: Saturdays 2 PM to 5 PM, Thursdays 6 PM to
9 PM
